Hello! I’m Kate, and I’d like to extend a warm welcome, a whispered invitation, and a call to the Wild Ones who are looking for a home and hearth here, with Something Wild Calls.
Rewilding your kitchen, steeped in science, driven by data.
Welcome to the hearth!
This space was born from a deep, stubborn longing—for something older, truer, and wilder than the grind. I’m a functional medicine-trained dietitian turned forest-walking tea-blender, kitchen healer, and soul-stirrer.
After years of owning my own private practice and helping others chase health through protocols and perfection, I found myself burned out, disconnected, and yearning for the deeper medicine I always knew was there: food as ritual, nature as teacher, and slow living as rebellion. No matter what we were doing to a patient’s diet and supplement plan, when they were burning themselves out and not managing their stress, it was an uphill battle.
Your self care must come first, and it must help us return to our natural state.
Something Wild Calls is my return—and maybe yours too.
Here, you’ll find:
- Recipes and remedies that may have started as ancestral wisdom, but science has also supported
- Downloadable guides to help you make, grow, soothe, and heal
- Rituals and reflections for the sacred in everyday moments
- And the occasional fierce truth about reclaiming your time, your intuition, and your voice
Everything I offer here is donation-based. I believe this wisdom is for all of us! If something you find here inspires your intuition, sooths your heart, stirs your soul, or nourishes your belly, I invite you to pass it on (share freely!) And if you can, toss a log on the fire to help keep these flames burning. (Consider donating!)
So come in. Breathe. Pour a cup of Tea.
Let’s remember what it feels like to live slow, wild, and deeply well.
